Terminology

The date on which cover begins under this policy as set out in the Policy Schedule.

Excess’ is the amount you are responsible for paying towards your own claim as set out in the Policy Schedule.

Extra time given for the payment of outstanding premium to be paid.

Information that affects our decision to insure your property on the terms and conditions in this policy.

The period for which we have received your premium

Means the owner of the registered portable possessions

A legal document that forms part of your Oracle Insure policy. It sets out your details, your cover, and your premium.

The premium due as set out in the Policy Schedule/ premium section of your policy. This is the amount that you agreed to pay us for your cover.

The date on which you must pay the premium.

The date in each month that we will debit the premium payer’s bank account, as set out in the Policy Schedule document for your policy.

The frequency at which your policy premium is collected. This is monthly.

A qualifying portion of the premium paid, according to the number of remaining days covered on the policy.

  • your ID number to back that up
  • Proof of purchase, contract, invoice or receipt
  • For your smartphone (the most important thing in your life), we need your IMEI number which you can obtain by dialling *#06#
  • You will also need to provide the serial number of your device.

How does the Cover work?

Can I change my mind about this policy?
Should you change your mind about this policy, you may cancel your cover within 30 days from the cover start date.
In this case you will receive a full refund of the premium paid, provided that no claim has been submitted and paid under this policy.

Unfortunately, you cannot transfer the cover. 
Any person older than 18 years of age, will need to take out their own cover.

You need to have for us to cover you.
Oracle Insure can only sell insurance to qualifying persons. A qualifying person is someone who:
– Is a Liswati citizen with a Liswati ID number;
– Resident of Eswatini
– Has a Eswatini cellphone number;
– Is 18 years or older.

Devices: Devices must be at the retail value of the item or the purchase price of the item. 

Claim tip: Always use the correct or full value of the item. Oracle will pick up at claims stage that that the full value was not insured, and this will mean that your full claim will not be paid as Oracle did not receive the full premium. The correct value is always the current purchase price of the item.

Unfortunately, we cannot insure an item if you don’t have proof of purchase / gifting. We do however accept various documents as proof of purchase i.e. invoice of the item, bank statements proofing payment, valuations or proof of ownership (the box)

An excess is the amount you are expected to pay towards any claim made. Oracle Insure then pays the amount over and above the excess, up to the sum insured or applicable limit.
